Here’s what to expect from the trial phase of Jollibee’s first coffee shop concept, which runs until September 22

MANILA, Philippines – Coffee lovers, it’s time to bee happy, because Jollibee has introduced its first coffee shop concept called JolliBrews at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City!

JolliBrews’ first small and cozy branch is located at 39th Street Corner, Triangle Drive, Taguig City. It serves an all-new menu composed of brewed coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and savory meals, which are only trial products.

It is still a “trial experience” so far — Jollibee is seeking customer feedback on the pop-up’s name, products, and store ambiance to determine if Jollibrews will remain and eventually branch out.

It will run from September 5 to September 22.

Upon entering, customers are asked to fill out a survey form. Respondents will have a chance to win 500 pesos worth of JolliBrews gift certificates.

What’s brewing?

I ordered the Chicken Tomato Bacon Wrap (P165), which features lean chicken breast with crispy bacon bits, juicy tomatoes, good ranch dressing, and fresh greens wrapped in a tortilla. It’s a convenient and tasty choice for those on the go.

The Sardine and Garlic Pasta (P210) has a more dry and powdery finish, because of the crushed Spanish sardines. The tomatoes used were sweet.

The Croissant (P120) and Chicken Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich (P195) weren’t available during my visit, as they were sold out.

The New York Cheesecake (160) is an average cheesecake — smooth with a classic graham cracker crust. It pairs well with brewed coffee.

Jollibrews also offers a Spanish Latte (P120) with a hint of sweetness.

Topped with a layer of velvety foam, Cappuccino (P120) has a rich coffee flavor. The Americano (P110) and iced Sea Salt Cream Latte (P130) are also available on the menu.

The Americano and Spanish Latte can be enjoyed hot or cold, with a five-peso price difference.

Jollibrews in BGC is available from 7 am to 7 pm until September 22. – Rev Dela Cruz/Rappler.com
