MANILA, Philippines – Jaehyun of K-pop boy group NCT 127 will start his military service on November 4, SM Entertainment announced on Thursday, September 26.

SM Entertainment, which made the announcement through a statement released on fan community platform Weverse, said that Jaehyun’s application to the army’s military band was approved by the Military Manpower Administration.

SM Entertainment urged fans to refrain from visiting the site of his military service as there will be no official event on the day of enlistment.

“We ask for your unwavering support and love until the day Jaehyun completes his military service and returns in good health,” the agency added, according to translation by entertainment website Soompi

Jaehyun is the second member of NCT to enlist in the military following Taeyong, who began his service in April.

Jaehyun made his debut in 2016 under the group NCT, whose over 20 members are divided into various sub-units. He performs in NCT 127, NCT U, and NCT DoJaeJung. In August, he made his debut as a solo artist with the release of his album J. Rappler.com
