MANILA, Philippines — Forty-two party-list groups will no longer be eligible to participate in the upcoming 2025 polls for failing to get enough votes or participate in the last two elections, according to the Commission on Elections.
In a resolution dated October 1, Comelec said that 31 of the 42 party-list groups failed to secure at least two percent of votes for the party-list system and failed to obtain a seat in the House of Representatives. These are:
- 1st Consumers Alliance for Rural Energy, Inc.
- Abe Kapampangan
- Acts Overseas Filipino Workers Coalition of Organization
- Ako Bisdak-Bisayang Dako (AB-BD), lnc.
- Aksyon Magsasaka-Partido Tinig Ng Masa
- Alliance of Public Transport Organization, Inc.
- Anakpawis
- Ang Kabuhayan
- Ang Laban ng Indiginong Filipino
- Ang National Coalition of Indigenous Peoples Action Na! Inc.
- Angkla: Ang Partido Ng Mga Pilipinong Marino, Inc.
- Arts Business and Science Professionals
- Ating Agapay Sentrong Samahan ng mga Obrero, Inc.
- Avid Builders of Active Nation’s Citizenry Towards Empowered Philippines
- Butil Farmers Party
- Kabalikat ng Hustisiya ng Nagkakaisang Manileno (formerly Kabal ikat ng Nagkakaisang Manileno)
- Kilusang MayPagasa
- Kooperatiba-Kapisanan ng Magsasaka ng Pilipinas

Meanwhile, the remaining 11 groups will have their registration canceled after they failed to participate in the last two elections:

- Aksyon Ng Mamamayang Nagkakaisa

- Katipunan ng mga Guardians Brotherhood Inc
- Movement of Women For Change And Reform
- National Confederation of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association of the Philippines
- Pederalismo ng Dugong Dakilang Samahan
“This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its publication,” the Comelec resolution reads.

Comelec likewise directed its Clerk of the Commission to implement the resolution.

Earlier, the commission said that it has so far accredited 41 new party-list organizations and rejected 142 organizations applying as party-list groups for the upcoming elections.
