Younger Salceda files COC for congressional seat

LEGAZPI CITY – Mayor Adrian Salceda of Polangui town filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) to gun for a congressional seat in the 2025 midterm elections here on Saturday, October 5.

Salceda, who is the current President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines in Albay province, is vying for the postion of 3rd district representative of Albay.

He said that once elected, he will focus on health, education, agriculture, rural infrastructure, tourism, trade, and social services.

His cousin, Juan Miguel Salceda, who is the incumbent ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, also filed his COC for Board Member in the 3rd district at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in this city.

On October 1, lawyer Jong Bonafe filed the COC for 2nd District Representative Joey Salceda at the provincial Comelec office. Joey, who is the regional chair of Lakas-CMD, will run for governor in the 2025 elections.

Jesap Salceda, Joey’s sibling, is scheduled to file his COC on October 8, at the end of the scheduled filing of candidacies, for the mayoral post in Polangui, as his term as a board member will expire next year.
