Chloe San Jose on building your online personal brand

How to take content creation seriously without being too serious

If you’ve only known Chloe San Jose as the girlfriend of a bemedalled Olympian we all love, then you’re missing a huge part of the story. Kulowi — as she playfully calls herself in her social media handles — is a content creator who has gained a large following since she started posting song covers on YouTube in 2017.

Chloe is a soft-toned singer with a wide range of singing styles and a penchant for OPM. She’s all about keeping a positive outlook, staying authentic, and not giving in to external pressures.

Although it’s been some time since she last posted a song cover on YouTube, she’s now building up her singing career by being active on other social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. She also performed on the noontime musical variety show ASAP earlier this year — a sort of homecoming as she performed on the show back in 2019.

Apart from posting song covers, Chloe dabbles in fashion, makeup, and skincare content. She also likes to entertain her followers with TikTok trends and challenges, as well as snippets of her day-to-day life and any fun activity she can think of. Her posts may seem random, but they’re always filled with two things: fun and authenticity.

In this episode, we ask the Australia-based talent how taking content creation seriously doesn’t have to take the fun out of it.
