Comelec: 49 COCs for senator, 50 CONAs on Day 7 of filing period


Comelec  receives 49 COCs for senator on Day 7

 

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 49 certificates of candidacy (COCs) for senator and 50 certificates of nomination and acceptance (Cona) for party-lists were filed on Monday at the Manila Hotel Tent City, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said. 

Data released by Comelec to the media showed that as of Monday afternoon, 127 COC for senator and 137 CONAs habe so far been filed.

Comelec on Sunday said that it is expecting more last minute filing of COCs and CONAs in the last two days of filing on Monday and Tuesday.

The 49 senatorial aspirants who filed their COCs on Monday were:

Some of the notable personalities who filed their COC for  senator were Sen. Bong Revilla, Benhur Abalos, and former senator Manny Pacquiao who come from the administration slate.
