Typhoon Pepito: Track, wind signals, rainfall warnings, latest news

Typhoon Pepito (Man-yi), the Philippines’ 16th tropical cyclone for 2024 and sixth tropical cyclone in less than a month, is set to affect Eastern Visayas and much of Luzon. Rain is expected to range from moderate to torrential, while the highest possible tropical cyclone wind signal is Signal No. 5.

Pepito is “more likely” to make landfall in Catanduanes on Saturday evening or early Sunday morning, November 17. But the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is not ruling out landfall in other provinces within the cone of probability, particularly Northern Samar, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Quezon, and Aurora.
