MANILA, Philippines – Emirates launched its first immersive store in the Philippines on Wednesday, November 20, as the Dubai-based airline hopes to meet demands of Filipino travelers and to appeal to more customers.

“Our commitment to this market and the demand in the market is still big, and huge, and we see this and our flights are busy,” Emirates Philippines Country Manager Saeed Abdulla Miran told reporters.

Emirates World Store, located in Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City, lets customers browse and book flights through either its digital kiosks or with the assistance of its staff.

Miran said this type of travel retail has worked for its other markets.

“You would feel the onboard product,” Miran said. “If you were in the business class, you would feel the lounge, everything, and it’s customized and made for you as a client.”

The Philippine store is the third Emirates World Store. The airline is spending around $25 million to open 40 other stores in various locations around the world in the next three years.
