Montemayor has expressed his opposition to the death penalty, same-sex unions, abortion — except for medical reasons — and divorce, according to Vote Pilipinas, a non-profit information campaign during the 2022 polls.

He ranked tenth out of 10 presidential candidates in 2022, getting 60,592 votes, according to the Comelec.
