MANILA, Philippines — Iloilo First District Representative Janette Garin seeks to secure a seat in the House of Representatives anew, as she filed her Certificate of Candidacy (COC) on Saturday (October 5).
Garin said she would champion health-related programs and push for quality services for Iloilo once elected again.
“Ipagpapatuloy natin ang pagbibigay ng dekalidad na serbisyong publiko para sa ating mga kapwa Ilonggo at buong sambayanang Pilipino,” Garin said in a statement.
(We will continue to bring quality public service to our fellow Ilonggo and to all Filipinos.)
“Patuloy tayong magsusulong ng mga batas na magpapalakas sa kapakanan at karapatan ng bawat isa, tungo sa mas maunlad na lipunan,” the legislator added.

Aside from this, the lawmaker, who serves as the vice chairperson of the appropriations committee, likewise said the national budget will be properly spent.
“We will guarantee that public funds are being allocated efficiently and in alignment with their intended purposes,” Garin said.
She authored and co-authored measures that sought the creation of the Department of Health Specialty Centers Act, Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, and E-Governance Act.
Garin was also among the authors of the newly passed law titled Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers.
