MANILA, Philippines – An exchange between Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna and former mayor Isko Moreno has gained significant attention on Facebook as the two political figures gear up for the 2025 midterm elections.
In a viral video by Honey Verzosa, Mayor Lacuna was asked about Moreno’s possible return to politics, to which she responded emphatically in Filipino, “Don’t come back!”
The strong statement has sparked discussions among Manila residents, with many interpreting it as a sign of growing tension between the current and former mayors.

In contrast, Moreno took a more reserved approach when asked about Lacuna’s remark, replying calmly, “Peace be with you.”

According to the latest commissioned survey by Daniel Tan from Octa Research, Moreno earned the nod of 86% of respondents while Lacuna got 6%.
